A while ago McDonald’s promised they’d never put kale on the menu, but it seems they’ve had a change of heart…
The fast food chain is apparently planning to roll out the popular leafy super-food as an ingredient, according to a new report.
Could this mean health-conscious customers can finally start getting their super-food fix at a golden arches near you?!
The plan is to possibly put kale in smoothies and salads.
“McDonald’s clearly aims to raise consumers’ perception of the quality of its food. Adding kale to the menu in some way could help be a step in this direction,” Mark Kalinowski, an analyst said.
Neither confirming or denying the claims, a spokesperson for Maccas said, “As we continue to listen to our customers, we’re always looking at new and different ingredients that they may enjoy.”
