The beloved Bunnings sausage sizzle will make a return in the NT and Tasmania this Saturday, with other parts of the country set to follow soon after.
Bunnings says after trialling new safety measures it hopes to have barbecues running in every other state and territory – except Victoria – by August.
According to 7 News:
“We know our customers have missed being able to show their support for local community groups by stopping by the sausage sizzle,” Bunnings chief operating officer Deb Poole said in a statement.
“The return will start off at selected stores in Tasmania and the Northern Territory this weekend where we will trial a new layout that promotes physical distancing and includes increased personal hygiene processes, above and beyond the normal processes.”
There are likely to be specific order and pick-up points at barbecues as well as increased cleaning regimes.
