Mary Tobin Presents The Best Comedy Shows At The Garden

3 min read

Here are at FIVEAA, we’re all about getting around the best time of the year – the Adelaide Fringe.

But what makes Fringe time in our city so special? Well, for starters it’s the biggest arts festival in the Southern Hemisphere – we know, we know, quite a big flex but we’ve earned it. The Adelaide Fringe is the place to be with eclectic and vibrant events that include the cabaret, theatre, comedy, circus, music, visual arts, workshops and so much more.

One our personal highlights of the Adelaide Fringe is The Garden of Unearthly Delights; everyone’s favourite vibrant and dymaic outdoor festival precinct. The Garden has a unique festival playground including multiple performance venues, bars, carnival rides, an array of world foods, market stalls, and the most unexpected sideshow surprises.

And the best bit? Mary Tobin Presents has got some of the best comedy shows at The Garden, right in our back yard until March 19.

First up, Arj Barker in his brand new show. All of reality, as we can ever possibly know it, exists exclusively in our minds. Armed with this knowledge, Arj sets out to answer some of life’s biggest questions: Why are we here? Are we alone in the Universe? Why does it hurt when we pee? You’ll laugh and you’ll learn, but you’ll never look at anything the same, once you enter… The Mind Field. You can check out Arj Baker: The Mind Field until March 9.

Pssst. Are you a fan of comedian Stephen K Amos? Well he returns to Australia thanks to overwhelming demand. Fresh from treading the boards in London’s West End as Alfred P. Doolittle in hit musical My Fair Lady, Stephen is back doing what he does best – stand-up comedy. You can check out Stephen K Amos: Oxymoron

Annnnnd, in case one act doesn’t cut it for you, you can also check out the Best of the Edinburgh Fest, on until March 17. One of Adelaide Fringe’s most iconic shows, Best of the Ed returns bigger and better than ever in 2024 to showcase some of the finest international talent. Three hilarious acts each show, see Luke Benson, Mark Simmons and Ryan Cullen in this unmissable show.

Don’t miss out on all the fun, head to the Garden and check out these Mary Tobin Presents shows.
