Why get a smaller stadium, what about the Crows, what about the future? Even pork might attract more than 50,000 one day! In any case the Crows have no chance to grow their membership as the current stadium is too small, why go for an even smaller one?

Would much prefer a brand new hospital and research facilities than a new stadium. Recent renovations aside, both the majority of research buildings, and the RAH are in poor repair. Double glassing of ward buildings as an interum measure whilst demolition and rebuilding each new wing over time is costly in itself, but the associated disruption to traffic, patients, and public from noise and demolition and foundation works will cause untold damage to existing structures. Far better to start from scratch away from sensitive areas with the least disruption to all conscerned.
Forward thinking can allow for further expansion of AAMI stadium - which is not owned by Government - leaving a revitalised Adelaide oval to take up the slack for both AFL teams.
