Adelaide Crows assistant coach David Teague has talked up the possibility of livewire Charlie Cameron spending more time in the midfield after Brad Crouch went down with a hammy.

“I love Charlie and what he does in our forward line is awesome,” Teague told Ben and Kane on Sporstday SA, “but I think for our club we need a little bit more speed around the ball.”

“He’s one guy that’s showed. Everyone remembers the final, but he did it in a couple of others games. When we were struggling against Geelong we threw him up there, and he just gives us another look around the ball.”

Teague said he’d love to see more Crows playing in different positions in 2017…

“I’d love to think that we’ll add a bit of flexibility through our whole team…

“I still love seeing Eddie [Betts] up around stoppages, particularly centre bounces when it’s a little bit more open. He doesn’t even need to know structures or anything -- just let him go up there and play footy and he’s the sort of guy that generally finds it or he tackles anyway.

“I’d love to see Mitch McGovern, Tom Lynch those sort of guys going up and playing around the wing areas as well. They’re both very good aerobically and they can mark the ball and use it well.”
