Eddie Betts is upbeat about the possibility of three Adelaide Crow stars under injury clouds being ready to play Rd 1.

The Crows take on GWS on Sunday in their season opener, and Eddie told David and Will on FIVEaa breakfast: “We should be alright.”

“I think Sloaney will be all right for Rd 1. Crouch will be all right for Rd 1 -- we’ll see how he goes this week.

“And I’m pretty sure Taylor will be right for Rd 1.”

Eddie said the prospect of playing with a full deck was “exciting”.

He also joined David and Will’s push to see the AFLW GF between Adelaide and Brisbane played as a “curtain raiser” before the Crows v GWS match at Adelaide Oval.

“Let’s push for that curtain raiser -- let’s get the Crows women there,” he said.

“So if you’re listening out there, let’s get the game to the Adelaide Oval -- c’mon, AFL, get it done.”

Penbo said if the AFL was smart “they could actually talk to Brisbane and say, you might think you’re walking into the lion’s den playing there, but just think of the atmosphere, the crowd, the profile the game will get should transcend any fears they’ve got”.

“I reckon they should do it.”
