How many times after a game have we said "THANK GOD FOR TYSON" He is the only one of the four that should have played on this year and should have been allowed to finish the season. Thank you tyson for all the great times you have given the supporters.

It is obvious every week there are people that are lucky to be in the team. To include Edwards, when he is apparently the 2nd highest touch winner in the team, would not be difficult at all. One of the grey men said only a short time ago that the senior players including Edwards were carrying the team. Its interesting now that giving him a game is now an opportunity for all sorts of lovely stuff. Yesterday prior to them realising the pubic outcry no game could be guaranteed. I hope the coach's tenure is handled in a similar manner. Dont expect the public outcry though.

Tyson Edwards is a true champion of the football club. A no fuss, always dependable player. It is now known that he WILL get a farewell game which is truly deserved. However I must say that to say he is the only one that should have played on is a silly statement. To bag the coach who has gotten them to finals while NEVER having high draft picks and currently working with a young sqaud overall with a massive amount of injuries, shows how much some of these so called supporters think.
Simon Goodwin well done on your outstanding career and thanks for the many great memories from you both over the years.
Maybe that's what we should acknowledge here!

He has been a quiet achiever for years. Of course he deserves a farewell game.

Well done Crows, common sense has prevailed, a legend of our club will now be farewelled by the fans, (does Craigy not say often that the members are an important part of the club), now we all have a chance to say "thanks" Tyson for all the joy & pleasure you have given us over the past 321 games.

After 16 years and 321 games with the AFC, there should be no hesitation, the man is a legend and will be very much missed. Agree with McAvaney's comments on Craig, respect and commonsense prevailed thankfully. Its very important for the club to give the fans the chance to stand up for a great player and to say goodbye as we will for Goodwin later in the year. It completes the journey and as fans, we wouldn't miss the opportunity. So long, farewell and good luck!

Why retire just coz you get dropped for one game,,i think its a copout!!!

Sorry but as nice a guy as he is Edwards is not the team and it's a team game. To turn your back on the club when it's struggling just because you were dropped is unforgivable. Had he stuck it out for the season like Goodwin is then maybe he could be given some sort of recognition but as it is he's forced Craig into a corner at a time when the team is struggling to hold it all together. Tyson Edward's credibility has just taken a nose-dive in my eye.

IMHO, Tyson was a great player. To me he has gone from the most underrated player to the most overrated in the last few years. He is an outright champion and deserves a fitting send off, but having watched most of his games, the last couple of years have been way below his lofty heights of years gone by.
