Should Tony Abbott accept Julia Gillards 2nd Debate invitation?

After calling for three debates during the campaign and being declined, Tony Abbott is now refusing Julia Gillards offer for a second debate.

Is Abbott now running away from the confrontation or is Julia Gillard looking desperate to get the Labor campaign back on Track?

Should the leaders commit to a second debate?

NO. The offer was made several weeks ago to have multiple debates, Julia Gillard said "No". Now Gillard has found herself on the back foot and has come up with ONE issue she fancies herself at discussing. Sorry Miss Gillard, you had the opportunity, you don't get to chop and change to suit your own agenda.

The last thing Abbot said in the last debate was let's have two more and now he is playing childish games and saying he doesn't want to.

Honestly this whole campaign is so full of BULLSHI** I have completely given up.

Where is Peter Costello when you need him. He should have been the next Prime Minister, someone with experience and integrity but instead we are left with the choice of two NUFF NUFF's.

At this rate I'll be voting for Humphrey B Bear

I agree Peter Costello would get my vote in a minute. This time I am voting local because the two major parties don't offer an alternative in my eyes. Both hopeless.

So I am voting for Kate Ellis she is my local member and far more credible than the local liberal guy who used to work on a radio station.

I don't even know his name but his teeth are way too white in his posters and I believe he was a candidate in the same area for the state election and got beaten by John Rau. crikey what is his name?

Anyway he is a poor choice for the seat of Adelaide so I'll stick with Kate

Televised debates are a waste of time! The only people who win are the TV stations!

If you think life is tough now, just wait and see what happens if Labor get back in. The cost of living will go through the roof!

No more debates. Let us hear some policy instead of spin & rubbish about budgie smugglers--which the media keeps bringing up.

Julya's running scared, like the little cat with all claws stuck out groping round desperately in the darkness.

Julia Gillard said she debated Tony Abbott every week on TV so she doesn't need any more debates. Now we should believe she wasn't telling the truth at all.

Maybe Julia think that as a woman she have right to change her mind.

Debate - these two don't know what a debate is so don't bore us with any more of those fancy press conferences.

Agree that Julia had her chance and now expects Tony to change his plans (during electioneering mind!) to suit her as she's running scared. No way Jose. Wouldn't vote for her in a fit.

Hey Richard - how are you going to vote if you can't read - by colour?
Watch out - Labour are up to their old tricks again and using Liberal's colours.
And as you can't read the names on the posters, our local Liberal Candidate for Adelaide is Luke Westley - a fourth generation resident living in the Adelaide electorate. He is a Marketing Business Manager with a Post Grad. Degree. In his previous employment at a Radio Station he was awarded more than once the prestigious Radio Australia Award for the most outstanding community projects in Australia. He is passionate about representing his electorate and being the voice of his electorate in Canberra. Unfortunately Ms Ellis is too often missing locally.
Take a good look at her in the flesh if she is ever in Adelaide and you may find her posters have been heavily airbrushed - something which she has campaigned openly against.
