Not a very flattering photo, staring up the Prime Ministerial nostrils. She looks tired here. Can you imagine how she'll look after a few months in the top job?

I am shocked and extremely horrified by the display of what I can only describe as a betrayal and assassination of a sitting Prime Minister nominated and elected by the Australian people. Like him or not he deserved better than what he got.

How could anyone possibly trust or respect anyone, let alone a woman who could stoop so low as to steal a position in such a manner Julia Gillard might well be the Prime Minister of Australia but she will have until the next election to demonstrate, that while being a conniving deceitful female is enough to get the job, keeping it or receiving it by a vote of confidence by the Australian people might not be enough to keep it!

it wasn't the cleanest way of taking over the role however lets give her a go before we judge her too harshly.

Hey Minstrel this is not America, we didn't nominate or elect Rudd as PM. At the time the majority of Australians voted in Labor - it was his party who voted him in. Funny how you think Gillard did this all on her own & as a woman she is conniving & deceitful. Get real! She was convinced to stand against him for the top job & it had to be done before the next election or they would have lost for sure. They still might...only time will tell. Clearly you don't understand the way the male power-brokers work behind the scenes in politics. Rudd knew he didn't have the numbers which is why he didn't even contest the ballot. What a short memory you have - what about the way Abbott won over Turnbull and the way Turnbull won over Dr Nelson and the list goes on, on both sides of the chamber. Have you forgotten how Rudd deposed Beazley? Like it or not, that's politics but they're blokes so I guess you won't describe them as conniving & deceitful.

Gillard is only a Puppet to the the AWU and the ALP's factions, all should hang their faceless heads in shame, Gillard's puppet strings will be cut soon or later and she will feel the same blunt knife.

even though rudd was a wanker,he was voted in by the stupid people and you shouldnt be able to change leaders without a public vote.hopefully you all wake up before the next election?

i realy dont think ppl realise just how much damage Gillard /labor have already done to the Australian economy & will continue doing .
If you like being TAXed ,if you like a government thats in your face in your pocket,if you want a government who like Rann ,is All spin ,
Then you will have all of that with gillard.
It is an Australia that will be worse for years to come

Lets put it this way. Your political party is in power, you could be the biggest drop kick ever to walk this planet, but as long as you have more than 50% of the support from your party, you can become PM! I hope the people of Australia wake up and vote Labour and Gillard out!

we wil never know unless the old skool dinosaurs of this world shut their mouths and just be hapy we have our first FEMALE prime minister. Regardless if she does a crap job finally we have a female prime minister weve evolved and advanced as people. Next wel all fully embrace sexuality and then accept the fact every1 believes in a different religion and no one has the right to argue anything. peoples lives are their lives and regardless of who and what your sexually attracted to or whos running the country, your judgments are just your own insecurities fired at those you dont understand to make your insecure self feel better. Surely in this day and age its great weve given a woman a go regardless of the job she does. And just like every one of the issues forementioned, keep your nose to yourself. Get a life.
