If you are comfortable with yourself, why not get your hair cut the way you want. It is a real shame that more people wont venture out and do the same. They are the ones that are the sticks in the mud. Go girl.

I really dont think that Amanda looks 41, so she can have any style that she likes. This one looks easy to manage, especially with 4 children to get ready everyday.

I don't think age is the issue here.
The haircut would likley receive the same reaction regardless of age.
I don't like the style, but strangely enough, it seems to make your face look good!
If you like it and it works for you, that's all that matters.

you should be able to have any hairstyle you like, regardless of your age. if it makes you feel good, that is all that matters.
must say though, being a hairdresser myself I do think it would look a lot more balanced with a whispy fringe.

being a hairdresser I think your hair is needing some more styling put into it. Fine for the very punk ones but there could be some defining on your behalf. A bit of styling would help. Its not outrageous for the more mayure women to have mod hairdos but to adapt to suit us. The style looks as if you got out of bed and forgot to do anything to your coifure.
I myself like modern styles for the mature women why should the young get all the advantages why not the more mature get a bit of fun out of life. Just because we get older it doesnt mean we are DEAD you know. We still have a lot of living to do.

Hi Amanda,I'm also a hairdresser & that cut is crazy too short looks like it's almost buzz cut number 4 at the nape & a "good hairdresser" will always will cut in the direction of where your hair will sit properly not so the parting shows but it's so short can't be helped till it grows.What's up with the chunks chopped out the sides ?, if anyone cut my hair like that I'd smash there head in !
As for age stuff it I think front on you look cute as a pixie the back & sides are not flattering but again you're so cute Amanda you have fab skin & look 30 something hair thank god grows back won't be long before it grows back.

I'm in my late 40's Amanda and I too like funky, easy to care for styles. I don't mind the style but I think it might brighten up your face with some foils of colour. You go girl!

The 'messy' look is fine - the 'haven't brushed my hair' look is wrong! it is not a flattering cut from the front . . . maybe some styling product?

If her husband likes it then thats all that matters, I think front profile it looks ok, but side and rear not so good.

It's none of my business. The only thing that matters is if Amanda is happy with it. Everyone else should ming their own business
