Brendan Fevola has been sacked by the Brisbane Lions. The Club held a special board meeting yesterday after being granted salary cap relief by the AFL and say the timing of the decision was based on medical advice.

3AW commentator David King says Fevola became his own worst enemy,

"Too many errors, too many misdemeanors for far too long for Brendan and unfortunately he just soaks up too many man hours. He is a qulity player we know that, he is fantastic when he is out on the football field, but off it he has proven to be a distraction.

Once the Lion's decided he is of no use, they had to rid themselves of Fevola, which is sad in one way but a cultural decision for the Lions."

Do you think Brisbane have made the right decision to dump Fevola?

Perhaps Peter Costello had Fevola in mind when he made his recent comments?

Leave the judgements to those who might actually has some power to change his thinking and behaviour. allow the things that are positive and skilful about his life to be fostered so as to contrast betww right and wrong, let the effects of his behaviour be made crystal clear to him. Ask him the hard questions about his attitude to those he has "hurt"
