The SACA have voted to approve the redevelopment of Adelaide Oval.

The South Australian government have promised over $500 million for the project to go ahead.

Many talk back callers and forum members do not agree with that amount of government funding being spent of a sporting facility.

What do you think?

Is the Adelaide Oval redevelopment a worthy use of tax payer dollars or should the money have been used on other projects in South Australia.

After spending a night in a public hospital after an MVA & noting 5 correctional service officers watching prisoners I was very glad to get out of that hospital I can tell you. The weird, wacky & down right bizarre general public all appear @ local public hospitals, & then there's those people who need genuine help IDK how the staff cope, they're run off their feet not to mention the safety aspect. Nursing was once a respected profession but now they are treated horrendously by some of those people who make 'lifestyle choices'.

Why is moving to Adelaide good for SA Football? At present 4 partys share a slice of the $ at AAMi stadium at Adelaide Oval there will be 5 sharing the $, how is this better for football? Plus we are going from a 55,000 seat stadium to a 50,000 seats.Moving Football to Adelaide Oval will only benefit SACA as they always in debt and only attract a decent crowd to cricket twice a year. The design of the new stand at adelaide Oval is shocking for wintery weather, ie watching the socceroos recently many got wet sit undercover IN THE STAND?? The move will also not benefit the power as it is further for their barrackers at port to travel, the truth about their strength is now coming out. Keep the $560mill and spend it on the aged , who made this state, education and Australian nurses.

This is such a waste of money. I'm one of the silent minority who personally couldn't give a rats arse for sporting conquests. I believe that these projects should be self funded by the people who use them and by no other means. If these users can afford to pay their participants the massive salaries that get then why should I have to contribute to this debacle. This product would be used once a week at most and then its unlikely to be full house every time, why should I pay for something that only benefits a few loudmouths and gives nothing financially to this state. Lets get real people, there are a lot of us taxpayers out there that just cant afford these luxuries and definitely dont want them. Use this money for things that we all need not for things that only a few of us will use. PS Go away mike rann!!!.
