The day after we encountered a lioness and her cubs seeking shelter around a thorn tree on the Serengeti, we found them again, this time out in the open in the cool of a late afternoon. With an older cub on hand, the quartet was up for a game, but play time soon turned into feeding time providing some of the most delightful photographic opportunities imaginable. Here are some of the best of what became a “shutterfest” for husband Ian and son Henry.
