Asd a snake catcher in the suburbs (especially the N.E) I see this all the time. Not only are they are fire risk but snakes find these piles of wood,leaves etc very inviting. Forget the councils-from my experience on contacting them-they don't want to know.

I live about 200m away from where I think that photo was taken. There was a fire right down that way back around new years morning 2000 or 2001 I think. We were reporting it on FIVEaa and my family (parents and sisters) was at home in the middle of it!!

This area is naturally a Gum Tree Savanna and not a Pine Forest.

The Pine Trees need to be removed entirely. Give the gum trees roots room to get at the water.

The pine trees are killing the indigenous Gum trees.

There are some Pine Trees with the yellow paint markers used to signify they are to be removed.

Could the government implement this NOW and remove them?
