Dogs are a fashion accessory in Milan. They go everywhere with their owners. Into shops. Into changerooms. Into restaurants. They are all delightful, beautiful, pedigree dogs. But stopping in the street for a pat and to swoon over them is just not the done thing. So dog lovers like me just have to bite the tongue and put the patting hand away!
