The environmental damage from the stricken container ship Rena off the
Bay Of Plenty coast is worsening by the hour.
Oil has been spilling from
the ship since it struck a reef last week, over 70 shipping containers
have slipped off the deck of the ship into the ocean, the ship is
beginning to break up, and both foreshore and ocean animals are
perishing in their thousands.
