State opposition leader Isobel Redmond has broken her silence, after refusing to comment about being shot by a taser gun.

The state opposition leader was tasered on Monday in a private session, after she made a promise to go through with the experience and show the weapons are a safe option for police.She went through with the stunt in private on Monday and work colleagues were by her side.

The Rann government has already promised to distribute 300 taser guns to officers across the state.

The Liberal leader has told Mike Smithson the experience was similar to childbirth.
