Attorney-General Michael Atkinson has backed down on new laws censoring internet comment on the state election.

Leon Byner talks to the Attorney-General about his reasons for the backflip and how he feels the fiasco will affect his chances of re-election in the upcoming State election.

Shadow Attorney-General Vicki Chapman weighs into the debate calling for Atkinson to tender his resignation and Nick Xenophon has received advice that the law could be challenged as being unconstitutional.

Dear Attorney-General,
Has anyone picked up the fact that the drivers licence that the 'real' Aaron is holding up on today's Tiser front page shows an Aaron Fornario of Eden Hills and not West Croydon...should not the police check if that person is whom he reckons he is, is it indeed his licence?

My previous address was Eden Hills, I moved into this residence at West Croydon in September. Did it occur to you that a change of address sticker is affixed on the back of a license? Because the Advertiser didn't take this picture (and they couldn't reveal my address in any occasion) their would have been no point.

Hey Atko, if you have half a brain you will stop blocking the R18+ rating for games.

There are even more people across Australia who are furious about your backwards stance on this.

If you don’t believe me, here are some Facebook groups you might want to peruse...

- Citizens Against Michael Atkinson

- NO Michael Atkinson, I would like my FREE SPEECH BACK! (B4 the ELECTION!)

- FIRE ATTORNEY GENERAL MICHAEL ATKINSON!

- Give Australia an R18+ Classification for Games!

- Grow up Australia - R18+ Rating for Computer Games

You are a popular guy.

Change your stance or enjoy your retirement.

Ooh careful what you say people...he'll get the gestapo on to you!
Freedom of everything it seems is something the gov don't want the people to have.
They already treat us with contempt.
They'll get rid of the internet if they could too.
