From today McDonalds will offer its customers a side serve of salad with its burgers, as an alternative to fries.

It's part of an aggressive push by the fast food giant to become more healthy.

The move by Maccas follows similar offers by rivals Hungry Jacks which now has fresh vegetables on the menu while KFC has withdrawn toys from its childrens' meals.
