The Gillard Government is under pressure to outline what will happen to a group of young people who are part of another boatload of asylum seekers intercepted in Australian waters.

Up to 18 minors are believed to be on board the vessel, which is being transferred to Christmas Island.

The government is refusing to say if the group will be among the refugees sent to Malaysia as part of the swap deal.
