There are rumours the Attorney General has introduced legislation to the South Australian parliament to outlaw dangerous planking.

The craze which has swept the nation after a facebook group was started here in Adelaide, has led to the death of a 20 year old man in Brisbane who fell from a unit balcony trying to "plank"

The Attoney General will not comment on whether there is in fact legislation before cabinet but a spokesperson says trying to ban it would be legally impossible, but they're open to addressing the issue of people putting themselves in danger of death or serious harm in the interest of fun.

"There isn’t anything amusing about people risking their lives and, potentially, the lives of others because of a fad. People should also remember that it is our emergency services who have to deal with the horrible aftermath of these incidents."
