Robert Thompson is our first Coopers Premium Light Local Legend.

Robert from Grange Surf Life Saving Club has been nominated by Aaron Tuckfield.

Robert has served the Grange SLSC for 41 years. A life member since 1988, he has competed/coached surf boats and board paddling at state and national level, and officiates at surf carnivals. He has served on the club committee since 1973, including 13 years as Club Captain, and is now Club President.

Robert has picked up 1 x Carton of Coopers Premium Light and two tickets to the Coopers Premium Light Local Legends Lunch at the Coopers Brewery Wednesday 23rd of June and he's in the major prize draw to win a $2,000 sporting holiday and $500 worth of Coopers product.

A legend of the surf, a legend of his club, and a panty hose wearing boatie too !! As for nicknames, whats so terrible about "Rattle Ring" ?? Those who know him know how he got that name.... also known as "Mister Somecee" the Chinese bloke who does everything around the club... Good luck Bert, you are truly a Coopers Local Legend.
