Qantas staff fear more jobs could be lost when the airline releases its half yearly results today.
The airline announced last August that 1000 jobs will go and flights would be cut back as part of an overhaul of international operations.
Richard Woodward from the Pilots Association says any further job cuts would be a huge blow to staff.
"There's no ownership of the business anymore by the staff, and they're the ones who built the brand, they're the ones that carry the safety of the airline. Management come and go, so so I think it's a really strange move by the management to alienate people just when they need them the most."
