The first Newspoll of the year has delivered a major blow for the Gillard Government.

The poll shows voter support continues to fall for the Prime Minister, with Julia Gillard's satisfaction rating now down to 33%.

Labor's primary vote has slumped to 30% compared to the Coalition on 45%, while the Coaltion leads 54% to 46%, two-party preferred.
