Japan Rocked By 6.7 Quake

The US Pacific Tsunami Warning Centre is not expecting a destructive Pacific wide tsunami following another earthquake in Japan this morning.

Japan issued the tsunami alert after the 6.7 magnitude quake struck in the northeast of the country rattling the areas hardest hit by the March quake and tsunami disasters.

The latest tremor hit just before 7.30 am SA time. There are no immediate reports of any damage or casualties.
