Well known on the Aussie comedy circuit, Arj Barker’s latest stand-up show seems best suited to  Gen X and Y followers. Viewed by the two male members of the Doyle household and another father son combo, the enthusiasm post show inversely matched the ages of the quartet. The grumpy old man of the group acknowledged Barker’s skill as a performer, capacity to connect with his crowd and enjoyed his musical moments, but was left wanting more political punch from the comedic velvet glove. That didn’t bother his 15 year old son and 18 year old nephew – both of whom said it was a 4 star show. Horses for courses therefore – if you require political bite in  your aggressively delivered comedy, or if offensive language isn’t your bag,  it may not be for you….but your MA 15+ offspring may well love it.
