More details on police dropping charges against the 36-year old man who allegedly assaulted Kevin Foley have come to light

In a scene reminiscent of an episode of CSI, the Police Minister's revealed he picked the wrong man in a photo line-up of a dozen mean-looking men with shaved heads.

Mr Foley was allegedly assaulted in the upmarket Royale Lounge in Gouger Street, early last month

Justice Minister John Rau says police haven't treated Mr Foley any differently to anyone else.

"The police, I assume have gone through their normal processes. He is a citizen like any other citizen and the procedure produces whatever result it does. I've not been involved obviously and he knows more about it than I do."
