Injured bikie Vince Focarelli is making a new bid for release on bail today to attend his son's funeral tomorrow.

The 37 year old has spent his 11th night in hospital after being shot during an ambush at Dry Creek which killed his 22 year old son Giovanni.

He's in police custody after being charged with drug trafficking and breaching bail he was refused bail during a bedside hearing on Tuesday.

Focarelli's lawyers will attend the Supreme Court this morning, where they've lodged an appeal.

It that fails, Focarelli can ask the Corrections department for compassionate leave to attend the funeral.
