The Crows are back in training preparing for next season. Adelaide kicked it off with a solid 2 hour session and will continue to train hard leading into the Xmas break. Brad Symes says the players all looked good in their first session back.

Adelaide United takes on the Gold Coast tonight at Hindmarsh Stadium. The Reds have slumped to 8th on the ladder and coach Aurelio Vidmar is feeling the pressure. Vidmar was forced to apologise for comments he made after journalists accused him of being "soft" on his players.

The Irish Football Association has asked FIFA for a replay of their controversial World Cup qualifier against France. Thierry Henry has admitted using his hand to keep the ball in play leading to the goal that got France through to the World Cup.

In cricket the West Indies continue to struggle in the lead up to next week's test. Queensland is 4-384 in replt to the Windies 271.
Meantime there's been critisism of our national selectors after Stuart Clark was the only player dumped for the test series against the Windies following our loss in the Ashes this year. And Pakistanis quick Shoab Aktar has been ruled of the tour of Australia after having secret liposuction. Aktar will need 4 to 5 months off to recover from the procedure. And Anna Meares has recaptured her best form winning the women's sprint at the Cycling World Cup in Melbourne
