Fire Crews Kept Busy

Two people are in hospital with smoke inhalation after an air conditioner exploded at a Morphett Vale home overnight

The incident occured just after midnight at the Gulflands View property , sparking a blaze in the house causing $150 thousand damage

The resident and neighbour who came to his aid have spent the night in the Flinders Medical Centre but their injuries are thought to be minor.

Shelley Roylance from the Metro Fire Service says the blaze was intense.

"On arrival crews found the roof space of the house well involved in fire. 12 firefighters took 40 minutes to control the fire."

Investigators are also on their way to a house fire on Wehl St in Mt Gambier. Crews took 30 minutes to bring it under control and say no one was hurt.

Crews are also at another fire on Tarcoola St in Renmark.

25 MFS and CFS crew say the house has been extensivealy damaged in the blaze which took 40 minutes to put out. Investigators have been sent to check it out.

In Wingfield a shed has caught fire on Penley Ave. Everyone at the house has been accounted for.
