Parliament will be asked to introduce recall elections in South Australia, enabling voters to force polls before the current four year terms have ended.
Family First MP Robert Brokenshire says if 150,000 SA voters, or about 10% of the population, signed a recall petition within 30 days of it being announced, the Governor immediately would have to issue writs for an election.
The next state election is due in 2014.
