Ben Cousins has been discharged from a Melbourne Hospital this morning after spending the night under sedation in intensive care. He was hospitalised after taking a cocktail of drugs and alcohol.

It is believed it has been Cousins own decision to discharge himself against medical advice. He is expected to speak to the media later today.

Cousins was admitted to hospital yesterday morning after his girlfriend found him unresponsive and couldn't wake him. it is believed he had an adverse reaction to a sleeping tablet which when combined with alcohol had a sedative affect.

Cousins playing future is unclear though it is certainly unlikely he will play this week. His team today training away from Punt Road tp avoid the attention.
