Australia's poor form has continued following their one-wicket loss against Sri Lanka at the MCG last night.

The Aussies scored 239 and had the visitors on the ropes at 8-107. But Lasith Malinga and Angelo Matthews put on 132 for the ninth wicket to level the scores.

It was then left to Mutiah Muralitharan to score the winning runs.
Sri Lankan Captain Kumar Sangakkara told channel nine it was a very impressive win.

"We'll enjoy this win but we have alot of hard work to do to get back to Sydney, but a win like this, there is nothing that you can say, you just enjoy it."

Mike Hussey did find some form in the Aussie innings scoring 71 not out and Tasmanian spinner Xavier Doughty took 4/46.

Aussie captain Michael Clarke can't belive the result.
"I honestly don't know how we lost that game. I thought we could have performed much better with the bat, I didn't think 240 was enough on a pretty good wicket but in saying that, having Sri Lanka 8 for 107 , we definitely should have won the game. So it's very disapointing.
