Adelaide's just fallen short of an official heatwave but the hot weather continues.
After 37 Monday and yesterday, the bureau's tipping 35 today and 34 for Australia Day tomorrow and Friday.
Forecaster Matt Colopy says it'll be windy as well today with gusts up to 30 kilometres an hour.
"In fact increasing up to 35km to 50km per hour about the hills and southern suburbs this evening. We're expecting gully winds around the Adelaide area to pick up this evening."
Meanwhile The torrential rain that's caused flash flooding in south-east Queensland is predicted to worsen today.
The heaviest falls are set to be on the coast, but the Lockyer Valley, devastated during last year's floods, may also be hit.
Meanwhile, the New South Wales nid north coast is also in for heavy rain today, with warnings of Flash-flooding around Bellingen.
Parts of the town, south-west of Coffs Harbour, remain isolated after the Bellinger river flooded many low-lying areas.
