Amanda Made Mary's Apple Flan

Amanda made this Apple Flan last night... looks delicious

2 large granny smith apples
1 cup sugar
1 egg
125gm melted butter
1 1/2 cups plainflour
1/2 teaspoon of salt
1 teaspoon bicarb soda
 
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp groung nutmeg
1/2 tsp ground allspice
1cup raisins
 
chop up apple and sugar.  put in bowl.
beat egg lightly and add with butter to the apple/sugar mix
add dry ingredients
add raisins last
lightly combine
spread into the base of a loosebottomflan tin
bake 40 mins at 180 degrees
stand for 10 mins before serving

I made this flan on Sunday & it turned out well. I think though it needed about 10 minutes more in the oven as it was a little undercooked in the centre.

Yummy with cream though!

Best appleflan I had in a very long time.Will make it again this time serve it up with hot custard cream & ice cream.
