The dream is over for Adelaide United and the Reds are out of the AFC Champions League after a gut-wrenching 3-2 extra time loss to Jeonbuck.

The winner came in the 116th minute with both teams absolutely exhausted and out on their feet.
United coach Aurelio Vidmar told Fox Sports they were beaten by a very good side.

"You see what a quality side they are and they really counter attacked very quickly. Most of the Asian teams do that, they are very quick in transition from defence to attack, but thats the way it goes, we got a couple of goals tonight but we just couldn't get over the line."
