Adelaide Oval developers are speaking to BHP Billiton and other corporate players in a hope of raising more money for the redevelopment.

It's believed tenders for the project don't believe the project can be delivered within the State Government's $450 million contribution.

The SMA says its funding discussions were commercial in confidence.
