Leadership group announced

The Adelaide Football Club has announced its player leadership group for 2012.

Nathan van Berlo, who last year became the Club’s sixth captain, will again lead the side as it starts a new era under first-time senior coach Brenton Sanderson.

The five-man panel includes two newcomers. Rory Sloane and Patrick Dangerfield have joined vice-captain Scott Thompson, deputy vice-captain Ben Rutten and van Berlo.

Nathan van Berlo:  (Age) 25, 138 AFL games
Scott Thompson: 28, 198 AFL games (159 with Adelaide)
Ben Rutten: 28, 169 AFL games
Rory Sloane: 21, 33 AFL games
Patrick Dangerfield: 21, 64 AFL games
